- teachers and administrators return to their classrooms and places of work. The Voluntary Arbitration Report is expected some time in the spring or early fall.

- After 21 school days, teachers and students will return to their classrooms on Tuesday morning, March 20th. The parties have agreed to a process of voluntary binding arbitration.

- Parkland Teachers' NSC met and negotiated with the board from 6:00 P.M. Friday to 4:00 A.M. this morning at which time talks broke off when the Board refused to return to the table. Late Saturday afternoon, the Teachers invited the Board to return to the table and the Board agreed. The meeting began at 6:00 P.M. tonight.

2007: as of 9:30 P.M. our NSC returned to the bargaining table to resume negotiations with our board. President Robert Twerdoclib extended the invitation while meeting with members of the press to announce the findings of the Proposal Vote. Shortly thereafter, a board representative contacted the our RBA. Talks continued for two hours.

(8:00 P.M.) Parkland Teachers' Local 10 releases the preliminary results of the March 6, 2007 employer initiated Proposal Vote: 95% NO. 567 ballots cast; 538 no votes, 1 spoiled ballot, 28 yes votes
